About Allison...

Allison’s career with horses was destined from a young age. Her parents, both involved in the industry, bought Allison her first pony before she could walk and the rest, as they say, was history. Allison's plan growing up was to attend Virginia Tech, major in Animal Science, and become a horse trainer. Not too many years later, Allison has achieved all that, and more.

Allison’s history with horses has been varied to say the least. Growing up in Madison County, Virginia, Allison was heavily involved in Pony Club, 4-H, and the historic Keswick Hunt. Allison traveled to the Pony Club Championship show multiple times, most notably winning the Equitation Finals in 2007. She has also earned her Traditional-B, H-A, and Dressage-A ratings. While jumping big, solid fences was enjoyable in the hunt field, Allison soon realized her real passion was with dressage. Even so, Allison has extensive work experience with both show hunters and eventing.

During high school, Allison had the opportunity to ride for the well-known breeding farm Acorn Hill.  Then, during college, Allison worked for Ms. Diana Dodge, starting the young Thoroughbreds destined for the show hunter ring. Allison credits much of her prowess with young horses to this summer. Always looking for a new experience, Allison spent the next summer among some of the best event riders in the world, riding for Mary Hazzard in Unionville, Pennsylvania. In her spare time, she also groomed at the USDF Young Horse Championships.

After college, Allison went to work for FEI rider Lauren Sprieser at her facility in Marshall, VA. While there, Allison was able to further her dressage education while also building a reputation as an excellent rider and instructor. She took clinics and lessons with many notable trainers among them Olympian Michael Barisone. Allison trained for several years with Olympian Allison "Ali" Brock and now works primarily with Sara Spofford.

Allison has achieved her USDF Bronze and Silver Medals as well as competing in everything from the Four Year Old classes to the Young Rider Developing Grand Prix. After launching her own business in May of 2015, Allison’s renown has continued to grow. She has brought many horses up the levels, including two to Intermediare - one being a client’s Friesian that Allison has been riding since the mare was at First Level.

With her education and dedication, Allison’s career is bright and she looks forward to all her future opportunities.
